Happy 1 Year to our Blog!

February 25, 2015  •  4 Comments

We simply cannot believe it! We joined the blogging world exactly 1 year ago!! THANK YOU for continuing to read and supporting us through this journey of expanding our business! When I (Rhonda) think back to that first blog post, I was a bundle of nerves. I was thrilled, nervous, and excited that words and opinions that I wrote would be placed on a public platform. I realize I'm not writing anything world-changing, but it gave me a whole new respect for what Molly (or any photographer) does on a regular basis: she creates art for clients. Not only that, but her work is regularly viewed, critiqued, and judged; not only by clients, but by complete strangers on Facebook or our blog. Her photography work has been and continues to be very public; and joining her in that arena with writing in support of her work was a daunting, exhilarating responsibility.

A Look Back...One of the images from our first blog post!

I've streamlined my process quite a bit, and pushing the "publish" button doesn't cause nearly the surge of adrenaline it used to. But to think that we have been blogging about our business for an entire year makes me--and Molly--so proud! We started out holding ourselves to particular standards when it came to our blog, and those standards have been supported and encouraged, by YOU, our loyal readers! We are grateful for the time you spend reading our posts, and hope you enjoy reading them as much as we enjoy writing them and choosing the photographs to highlight!

With that, let's take a closer look at our success over the Past Year of Posts:

We've published a total of 30 posts! (Today makes 31!) Our "5 Favorite Photographs" theme has featured 2 engagement sessions and 9 weddings. And we have wished 9 clients a Happy First Anniversary!

First Anniversary Couples! All of our clients who celebrated their First Anniversaries in 2014!

We've offered advice on 5 unique topics:

You've met Molly and I and heard about our approach to our business and Molly's artwork. We've explained why we always have, and will continue to, offer a wedding album to all of our clients. And, we've explained Molly's approach to candid photographs of your wedding and guests!

We've had literally hundreds of readers visit our blog, and that makes us feel like rock stars! Adding to that rock star mentality: last year, we met our very FIRST 'Blog Stalker!' (And we are SO excited to meet more of you!)

So, what's next for our second year of our successful blog? More of what you like and want! We are going to publish more engagement sessions, and continue sending love out to our clients by spotlighting their events here and choosing our 5 favorites from their weddings. (Narrowing it down to only 5 is an incredibly difficult task, let me tell you.) But, we're up to continue our challenge!

You tell us: What do you want to see on here? We wouldn't be here without you, our readers, so make sure to leave feedback on what we are doing right, and what we can improve. Again, THANK YOU for your readership and support!

The photo that was taken, when I was only 4-5 years old with my parents and my grandparents is one of my very favorite photos. I did not have a clear memory of the event when the photograph was taken, but I have seen it a thousand times, and still, I look at it with a delight and sadness. http://www.essay-services-review.com/college-essay-layout-with-design-models-and-tips/
